After-school program to start at RES Nov. 3
Rockland Central School District will kick off its after-school program, open to all Rockland Elementary students, on Nov. 3, running through May 20.
Students will be able to get homework help, participate in clubs and groups, engage in fun activities and have free play.
The program will be held from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays when school is in session. It will not take place if after-school activities are canceled.
Students who attend the after-school program will not be transported home. Participating students can be picked up at 5 p.m. at RES gym entrance in Roscoe or they can take the shuttle bus to the Rockland MS/HS building in Livingston Manor to be picked up.
Letters with information about the program, including on how to sign up, have been sent home with students. Sign up forms should be returned to the classroom teachers by Friday, Oct. 24.
Students may also be signed up throughout the school year. Those who sign up after the program begins will not be able to attend until the first Monday of the month after sign up is received.
