The New York State Leadership Group was honored to have been selected by the Rockland Central School District Board of Education to assist it in the search process for its next superintendent.

The district provides a very unique and challenging opportunity for a strong school leader. Created by a merger of the Livingston Manor and Roscoe School Districts in 2025, an understanding of implications of such a vote is necessary. Enrollment exceeds 600 students UPK-12. Students know that they are expected to achieve academically. Rockland teachers are passionate, dedicated and highly trained specialists.

The seven members of the Rockland Board of Education are supportive, collaborative and committed to student success. Because of the merger outcome, they are in the process of growing together as a board.

I am writing to you because your experiences and qualifications have prepared you to be selected as the next Rockland Superintendent of Schools. Its size, history and local support, among other factors, have combined to make this a special organization.

District residency is not required although a deep involvement in school and community activities is expected.

An initial salary for a 3-year contract will be $180,000-$215,000 based on experience. An excellent fringe package is also included.
